I can’t believe it’s already been two months since I was selected as a finalist for this year’s 25th Annual Miss Asian America Pageant. Please join me this Saturday, August 7th, at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco. Doors open at 6pm. You’ll find more information about this black tie event by visiting Miss Asian America. I am proud to represent the Korean American community! I will continue to bring awareness to the dangers of human trafficking by mentoring youth on a weekly basis and working as a team leader for non-profits. I’m usually mentoring students in creating their own school clubs or organizations related to bringing awareness to causes, including human trafficking.

I’ve been all over the place, literally, and having a really difficult time saying ‘no’ to charity events or volunteer work. I’m so sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I promise I’ll be back on track after this week. A hospital visit due to stress and high anxiety (probably due to full time work and graduate school, and a full time commitment to a fabulous pageant and a great non-profit) is a lesson that I need to take care of myself before anything else. Please take care of yourself and do not overwork because it will destroy your health! Let’s avoid Karōshi, which translates to “death by overwork” in Japanese. With lots of rest and daily vitamins, I am back and feeling better than ever. :)

If you can’t make it to my pageant this Saturday, then please come support our non-profit, beHUMAN at the launch party, which will be held at Ruby Skye on Saturday, August 21st at 6-9 pm. It’s a Bachelor Auction! Get ready to mingle and bid on Bay Area’s most influential, successful, hot bachelors. I will personally introduce you to the bachelors before the auction if you purchase VIP tickets. Not only are you bidding on hot bachelors (law enforcement, UFC fighters, models, etc) and unique services like a make-up session with Smashbox Celebrity artist, you’re also donating to a very good cause – empowering youth through various sports programs run by world-renowned professional & collegiate athletes. We can do this! Go purchase tickets now! I’ll see you soon. Saving the world one kid at a time. ♥
